Dress in Happiness is the core philosophy of Farm Rio, a brand that celebrates the spirit of Rio de Janeiro and embodies traditional aesthetics through its pieces.

Farm Rio is famous for its colourful summer dresses, but they actually have pieces for any season and occasion, from dresses perfect for aperitivo, to stylish winter wear for frolicking in the snow or waltzing down the slopes.

Originating in Rio de Janeiro, this Brazilian brand now has expanded cross-continental with three shops in London. At The Plum Edit, we love this brand for its colourful clothing and also their ethics, as the company plants one tree for every purchase. Farm Rio’s environmental commitment is part of a partnership with One Tree Planted, supporting reforestation in all Brazilian biomes.

This week, The Plum Edit team headed to Farm Rio’s store in Marylebone. Spread over two floors, the design of the store also celebrates the brand’s Brazilian heritage. Taking the brand philosophy beyond the clothing, the stores incorporate artistic details such as intricate marquetry by Maqueson da Silva and a sculptural mirror by Honduran artist Rosalila. You could visit the store to simply spend hours enjoying the watercolour wallpaper that portrays the Brazilian landscape, native plants and animals in a poetic way, handpainted by Dominique Jardy.

Here’s a roundup of some of our favourite pieces, from their new ski collection which will definitely satisfy your cravings for looking stylish on the slopes, to pieces that will undeniably add joy to your daily routine.
