This week, The Plum Edit team headed to Mayfair to explore Sézane, a brand known for its Parisian elegance and timeless design.
Sézane’s statement pieces undeniably have a cult following and it’s not hard to see why. Sézane’s founder, Morgane Sézalory, explains the ethos behind the brand: “We build wardrobes thoughtfully, focusing on how each piece can be refined over time.” (Vogue)
The brand's autumn/winter release, Sézane in New York, masterfully bridges the gap between two world-renowned fashion capitals. By combining signature French chic with the sharp, edgy sophistication of New York street style, the collection offers versatile, high-impact pieces designed for effortless daily styling.
From the moment you step through the doors of the Mayfair store, Sézane transports you straight into a classic Parisian apartment. The warm, inviting space is filled with thoughtfully curated vintage trinkets, fresh botanical arrangements, and statement lighting that reflects the brand's aesthetic vision.
During our visit, we headed straight to the main floor to test out the key statement pieces from the new drop, alongside some of the brand's iconic core items.
Will Jacket
Camel Suede, £240
A true hero piece in outerwear design, the Will Jacket gets a luxurious seasonal update in rich camel suede. Offering a clean, utility-inspired silhouette, this jacket works exceptionally well as a lightweight layer over fine knits or styled casually over a graphic tee and dark denim.
The Wide Leg Trousers

We can always rely on Sézane for statement pieces, and although these aren’t a part of the new collection, we have to give a shout-out to some of our favourite pieces.

One of Sézane’s most famous designs, this iconic cardigan features mother-of-pearl buttons and a uniquely reversible design that allows it to be worn with the buttons at the front or down the back.
As beautiful as Sézane’s knits are, our favourite part of buying one is getting to pick out a jumper to try on. The shop assistants are impressively knowledgeable about the products. We were shown all the details of Sézane’s signature cardigan, from its reversible design to the intricacies of the knit pattern.
Sézane’s approach to timeless, effortless pieces doesn’t stop at clothing, their jewellery line allows you to easily add an ode to Parisian chic to your outfit. During our store walk-through, we spent time exploring their dedicated accessories section, which features everything from minimalist gold bands to intricate heirloom-style pieces. Sézane also offers individual charm options, allowing customers to personalise necklaces and bracelets for a bespoke finish.
